Fr. Jeremy has been Rector at St. John's since October of 2018. He and his husband Brave moved to Flossmoor from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where Fr. Jeremy served as the Associate to the Rector at Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church in Pembroke Pines, FL. At Holy Sacrament he was responsible for youth and young adult ministry and pastoral care and he served as Chaplain to the Diocesan Youth Commission. Prior to entering seminary, Fr. Jeremy has served in the U.S. Army and has been a Firefighter Paramedic with both the Memphis (Tennessee) Fire Department and the Collier County (Naples, Florida) Emergency Services Department.
Fr. Jeremy received his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2016, and his Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Comparative Religion from Florida Atlantic University in 2011. He is also a Franciscan friar in the Community of Francis and Clare (CFC). More information at the CFC can be found on their website cfcfranciscans.org.

The Rev'd. Mike Bond
Associate for Youth Ministries

Since being ordained to the Vocational Diaconate, Deacon Mike has served at Christ the King Episcopal Church, Lansing IL, Brent House Episcopal Chaplaincy at the University of Chicago, Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago and now at Saint John the Evangelist. He also served on the Bishop’s Staff for eleven and a half years for Bishop Donovan, Bishop Persell and Bishop Lee. Deacon Mike has also served at the diocesan level in youth, young adult, campus ministry, and with Camp Chicago as an assistant spiritual director volunteer 15 years and on the leadership team as the spiritual director for 5 years.
He has come to understand that his passion for formation and spiritual direction with our younger members stems from his own formation and natural curiosity. Deacon Mike says, "I think it is important to get our young people engaged in working out their thoughts and relationship with God and Jesus Christ. And to recognize how and when the sacred enters into their lives."

David Boyle

Beginning at age three when he raised havoc in the choir loft for his father, also a choir director, David has been singing with and accompanying choirs, and is a skilled cantor. David comes to us with 30 years experience as a Director of Music, having served at several Roman Catholic parishes including St. Cajetan in the Morgan Park neighborhood, Queen of Martyrs in Evergreen Park, and St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr in Tinley Park.
David is an accomplished actor, director, and playwright, having written a number of plays for young actors which have been produced by the Beverly Arts Center, Children’s Theater of Western Springs, and the Metropolis in Arlington Heights, among others. In his spare time David has been developing his talent as a storyteller, having performed in Fringe Festivals in Elgin, MN, St. Louis, and Indianapolis.

Born and raised in rural Wisconsin, Sarra has always had a strong work ethic and a big heart. She and her husband, Luke, have been married for six years and recently bought a home in Dyer, IN. Prior to becoming Parish Administrator at St. Johns, Sarra spent ten years working in the medical field as a receptionist and in Quality Assurance. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, vacationing, watching Dancing with the Stars, and spending time with her beloved Siberian cat, Yuki.
