What if going to church was like going to a dinner party?
St. John's Table is an informal worship service inspired by the practice of the early Church. In its earliest form, the Church (the gathering of believers) worshiped formally in the Temple or Synagogue, where they heard God's word proclaimed (similar to our Liturgy of the Word). Afterwards, they would gather in homes where they shared a meal together and recalled Christ's mission of love from the Cross (the Liturgy of the Table). On Sunday evenings we gather for fellowship as we prepare our meal together then worship around the table as we share that meal. Invite a friend and come join us as we reclaim this ancient form of worship and seek the Spirit's movement in our own time and in our own community. St. John's Table is held every Sunday at 5 p.m.
